Saturday, August 10th Luncheon – UnidosNow – Jeanette Ocasio & Cathaleen Kaiyoorawongs – Education & Integration Initiatives
With the possibility of comprehensive immigration reform in sight, we look forward to welcoming Jeanette Ocasio, Social Justice Program Director and Cathaleen Kaiyoorawongs, Director of Education Initiatives with UnidosNow to our August luncheon. UnidosNow is a 501(c)3 organization committed to fully integrating our regions Hispanic community into the state’s civic, cultural, and economic fabric. We will learn about the resources and educational programs they are providing to the Hispanic community, including the “Know Your Rights” program and the Future Leaders Academy. We will also hear from a student who has benefited from these programs.

The luncheon is held at Laurel Oak Country Club, 2700 Gary Player Blvd, Sarasota, FL. Travel 2 miles east of I-75 on Bee Ridge Road. Turn left at the light at Gary Player Blvd. Bent Tree will be on your right. Proceed past the guard shack, through one stop sign, and the club house will be on your left.
Social Hour starts at 11 with the program beginning promptly at noon.
Cost for Members is $24 each. Cost for non-members or walk-in’s is $26 each. You may pay by cash, Mastercard, Visa or with a check made payable to the DCS. Please fill out your checks ahead of time.
IMPORTANT – Reservations are required and must be made by midnight on Wednesday, August 7th. Cancellations must also be made by midnight, August 7th or you will be billed for your meal.
