February 8th Luncheon – Dr. Susan MacManus – USF Professor of Public Administration and Political Science on “Election 2014: Campaigning at the Grassroots Level”
Dr. Susan MacManus, a USF professor in the Department of Government and International affairs and a well-known Florida political analyst will present “Election 2014: Campaigning at the Grassroots Level”. Dr. MacManus is always in demand to address various political and civic group with her expert knowledge of Florida politics. She served as Chair of the Florida Elections Commission from 1999 to 2003.
In 2008, she was appointed by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission to the Election Management Guidelines Development Working Group on Elderly and Disabled Voters in Long-Term Care Facilities and the Working Group on Media and Public Relations. Join us for a thought provoking event.

Menu choices for this month are:
- Chicken Caesar Salad OR
- Grilled Corvina Buerre Blanc with rice and vegetable OR
- Grilled Vegetable Wrap with a side of fruit
- Dessert: Key Lime Pie
- Menu choice NOT guaranteed past noon
The luncheon is held at Laurel Oak Country Club, 2700 Gary Player Blvd, Sarasota, FL. Travel 2 miles east of I-75 on Bee Ridge Road. Turn left at the light at Gary Player Blvd. Bent Tree will be on your right. Proceed past the guard shack, through one stop sign, and the club house will be on your left.
Social Hour starts at 11 with the program beginning promptly at noon.
Cost for Members is $24 each. Cost for non-members or walk-in’s is $26 each. You may pay by cash, Mastercard, Visa or with a check made payable to the DCS. Please fill out your checks ahead of time.
