March 9th Monthly Meeting Featuring Juan Peñalosa, Executive Director of the Florida Democratic Party
Join the Democratic Club of Sarasota as we welcome Juan Peñalosa, Executive Director of the Florida Democratic Party. Juan will present 2018: By the Numbers, a review of the Florida mid-term election. He will share details on the successes and shortcomings and provide a look forward to 2020. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from Florida Democratic Party leadership.
Juan is a first generation American who has been a long-time grassroots activist for LGBT and immigration rights. He came to the Florida Democratic Party from Mercury Public Affairs and has nearly two decades of experience working in crisis communications, public policy and political arenas and has served in leadership roles on some of the largest issue based and electoral campaigns in Florida and the US. Parking is available in the Library’s lot for 2 hours, on the street, in the Palm Avenue Garage, and the Whole Foods Garage. The Sarasota Spring Fine Art Festival will be taking place on the 9th at Gulfstream and Main with part of Main Street closed. Come early to find parking and take in the Art Festival and maybe have lunch in our beautiful downtown before heading to the event at 2:30.
