RESERVATIONS CLOSED. EVENT SOLD OUT. Please join us on December 14th at Selby Library to welcome Keegan Hankes, Interim Research Director, Intelligence Project with the Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC fights hate and bigotry while seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. They monitor hate groups and other extremist groups throughout the United States and help teachers and schools educate children to be active participants in a diverse society. Keegan has worked for the SPLC since 2013 tracking white supremacist organizations and regularly contributes to its Intelligence Report magazine and its Hatewatch blog. He will provide an overview of trends in hate and extremism specific to Florida and share information on the Intelligence Project.
