April 28th – Wine, Cheese, & Politics – Immigration Issues – 1350 Main St., Sarasota, FL
Join the Democratic Club of Sarasota on April 28th at 6:30 p.m. for our 2nd Wine, Cheese, & Politics gathering.
We will hear from Sarasota Mayor Kelly Kirschner on Sarasota’s surging Hispanic population and Edwin Enciso of For Progress discussing current immigration issues in the State of Florida. The 2010 census released earlier this month chronicles a growing Hispanic middle class in Sarasota County. A question and answer session will allow time for attendees to discuss their ideas and opinions on this topic.
Beer, wine, and light bites will be provided. Cost for Club Members is $10. Cost for non-members is $15. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. at 1350 Main Street, 7th Floor, Downtown Sarasota at Main and Palm. Parking is available on the street and at the new garage on Palm Avenue. Please RSVP to rsvp@sarasotadems.com or leave a message at 941-379-9233.
