You are invited to attend our annual fund raising dinner on Sunday, October 9th at the Francis in downtown Sarasota.
Keynote Address
There could not be a more important time for us to come together in support of our candidates and our Democratic values.
With the election less than a month away from this event, we have invited an expert on Florida politics, Rob Lorei, host of WEDU-TV’s “Florida This Week” and News and Public Affairs Director of WMNF community radio to deliver the keynote address.
Carroll Buchanan Award Presentation
At the dinner, we will also award the 6th Annual Democratic Club of Sarasota Carroll Buchanan Award to our very own Jo Anne DeVries.
This award will recognize Jo Ann for her tireless service to the Sarasota County Democratic Party, the Democratic Club of Sarasota, and other progressive political organizations in our community.
The Democratic Club of Sarasota exists because of your support! We represent Democrats at festivals and expos across the county raising Democratic awareness, recruiting new Democrats, and offering voter registration and Vote by Mail.
We also partner with likeminded local organizations, provide candidate forums, and educational and networking events. Please help us continue our work into 2017 by joining us on Sunday evening, October 9!
